Damn treated Toronto like a hoe :mjcry:

You know what tho im glad we aint the ones to pay him,i never wanted him here...IN the end LMA only won if hes in it for the money,if its for legacy or anything else he loses....even if he wins a title with the Spurs the narrative will be he had to join a trio of HOFers to do it...and if he never gets that ring then the spurs legacy will be him photoshopped out the picture :manny:

All I know is Portland was looking nice last year before Mathews got hurt. Their starting line up was nice.

I didn't realize Aldridge had a problem with Portland favoring Lillard (so I've read before). I don't know man I feel like they blew that team up prematurely. And San Antonio will never be "his" team but obviously thats okay with him since he signed there so what was really his issue/problem with Portland and Lillard?

Thats the weird thing about him....He acts likes he had an issue with Dame getting some shine YET hes entirely ok with the concept of team in San Anton or Houston it would have been the same situation with him having to sacrifice numbers and the spotlight...

think about it as having to go to a workplace. What kind of co-workers do you want to work with on a day-to-day basis? Especially in the context of a professional competitive event where you have to put your heart and soul into the game to win. The spurs seems like a nice place to work.

I cant cuz im not a millionaire....IF i was making 20 mil over 4 years i honestly wouldnt give a shyt where i was playing...I dont see success as winning rings like others do..success to me is making that kind of money and living comfortably..

Theres no doubt he went to the Spurs to win,my contention is if he dont win with all that help then hes fukked up his legacy if he cares about that...i personally wouldnt but some players do care about how they are perceived historically in the game...

As far as Portland itself the article made it sound like Aldridge just never liked the area, weather, etc. This shyt with Dame is new to me, LMA really wanted to be the captain of the ship :dahell:

The Spurs chase tomorrow, never living in yesterday. One by one, the players took turns describing what it was like to play for the franchise, and live in the community. Parker described growing up in Paris, but thought now of how it’s pretty amazing that he plans to spend the rest of his life living in South Texas.

I'd rather live in Paris than in that backwards ass state. :heh:

French hoes>>>>>>>them wildebeests in Texas.

What kind of deal could he have gotten this upcoming summer? 80 mil doesn't seem like much with what dudes are about to make

So would Riley have just let Whiteside walk for nothing and have Bosh/LMA?

That's an interesting look at how much the Heat value Whiteside

They were never going to win in portland...that top 3 record with Matthews was a facade Lillard is to much of a chucker and come playoffs time when you play a really good team he is going to shoot you out of more games than he shoots you in...

:mjlol: at Riley telling him he got to sacrifice his numbers if he want to win and Aldridge going :dwillhuh:"You know what you right the only logical place for me is Swag Antonio"

:mjlol: At Riley wanting him tot take a one year deal with Portland

Aldridge also doesn't REALLY want to be the man cause he is super comfortable right now with Leonard leading this team...

It just so happens that Swag Antonio is and will be so deep (pause)...that he won't ever have to be the man...

I wish Woj would do an article to explain to me how Danny Green got paid and has turned into a poor man's Tony Allen though :martin:

Of course the ATL
LaMarcus Aldridge walked out of the lobby doors of the Montage Beverly Hills in early July and found a familiar face in a most familiar repose: Gregg Popovich busting chops. In the hotel’s valet lane, the emperor of the San Antonio Spurs playfully jabbed Toronto general manager Masai Ujiri for signing Atlanta’s DeMarre Carroll to a $60 million free-agent contract. Spurs family is Spurs family, and Ujiri had punctured a protégé’s program in Atlanta.

Pardon me I had to laugh at that :mjlol: TOR overplayed for a glue guy who we maxed out in ATL and we're still on top of the East without DMC. I'm glad breh got paid, but "punctured a protégés program" is hilarious to read
