I think what Babyface had to say in this is the most powerful statement of the whole doc.

It was cool, doe...learned a couple things I didn't know.

I think LA Reid said it better on some doc I recorded from VH1 Soul. you probably know what I'm talking about. I cant think of the name right now tho.

reid was more blunt & upfront about it. like yea, laface was more crossover but Uptown was on top of the urban market.

True...if ANDRE HARRELL was more comfortable with hardcore street rap they would have had more longevity

Thats in hindsight tho. Im sure u know, more than me, how most people (mostly outside of hip-hop) looked at "hip-hop/rap"
as a fad.

Commenting before I watch but I've always wondered how Uptown drama didn't leak out like that, Andre had it all in house. You can't tell me that between a young Puff, Jodeci and Mary, and Big, and Suge and everything else there wasn't some type of drama going on behind the scenes

This doc didn't mention much about The Untouchables, either...they were instrumental (pardon the pun) to the
"Uptown Sound" taking over the game as well...

Coming from a 90's kid born in late 80's this was by far one of the best shows that has aired on bet easily in the last 15 years. Look forward to more episodes.
