Nope lebron and his talents did

he started it....

KD finished it :manny:

breh dont start this again.....the heat were not the first "big 3"

its nowhere near the same as a top 2 player in the league going to a 73 win team. STOP

the heat definitely weren't the first big three. but they were the most famous big three in the free agency era. other teams in the 80's that were stacked like the sixers, celtics and lakers acquired most of their talent via the draft or trades. not free agency.

and the reason no one mentions the 98 rockets big three is cuz they didn't accomplish jack shyt.

also the 08 celtics got their big three by trading a shytload for KG, and ray allen signed as a free agent first.

But would they have asked for more help if they had the team Bron has now? :patrice:

Probably not.
MJ had better teams than the team LeBron has had.
You people are either not old enough to remember or have selective memory.
When MJ had his 1st retirement the Bulls only lost 2 games compared to the season before with MJ. think about that.
The cavs without LeBron playing, had back to back 1st round picks after he left and were bottom feeders. This iteration of the cavs, when Lebron doesn't play has 4 wins to 18 losses.

He's not necessarily wrong, or right. It's just that Cleveland financially done all they could to appease LeBron. And to add, LBJ's comments weren't as specific as you made them. Had he simply said "We may need a backup PG, and a veteran big to help us overcome the ebs and flows of this season and to help give us the best shot a title defense" than that would've been received better. He made it seem like they were surrounded by scrubs outside himself and Kyrie. Kloves been killing it. This isn't those bum 00's Cavs teams he used to carry. He has more parts than most teams.

And like Kenny alluded to, yeah Golden state is stacked, but you can't use what Golden state did as a berometer for what Cleveland SHOULD do. KD did something unprecedented. As Cleveland/LBJ, you can't expect to land the type of player that GS acquired. You gotta make do with all the talent you DO have, and so far, Cleveland has done all they can to make sure that they maxed themselves out with talent.

At the end of the day, LBJ IS the playmaker/point-forward. He loves to play with the ball in his hands, and the only players he defers to are Klove and kyrie. So even adding a third playmaker, would LBJ be willing to defer and let this hypothetical third takeover when need be? They don't share the rock quite like Golden State does. It may be a coaching problem, rather than a talent problem. They already have playmakers and guys who could knock down an open 3.

:manny:
Except they haven't financially done everything, LeBron came back and was told the luxury tax wouldn't stop them from spending, not Griffin is saying they will spend but only when the time is right. They reneged on their deal, again.

Who's to say they weren't gonna get LBJ more help anyway? Was it necessary to call them out? Maybe they're waiting for the right pieces to fall into place. They could be prepping to snatch up Wade for all we know...

It's LBJ himself who's being a lil dramatic here. I'm sure Cleveland isn't satisfied. But then again, Dan Gilbert brought this on himself for being a hoe towards LBJ when he first dipped. I don't feel for Dan...

:manny:

The man asked for help a month ago and nothing changed, they swapped out Dunleavy for Korver like that was going to change anything. They need a backup PG who can facilitate and a big. This has been the case, especially since the season started and Mo Williams retired.

the ether
If Kyrie is hurt, or even if he just takes a rest on the bench, this team literally has zero NBA level point guards to replace him.

If TT is hurt, or he just takes a rest on the bench, this team literally has zero NBA level Centers to replace him.

How has Lebron been saying anything but the obvious?

He doesn't give a shyt about winning the East. He has to beat Golden State. And he's not only supposed to do that having to match up Korver/Shump/Love against Klay/Iggy/Draymond, but he's a bytch for pointing out that not having a single viable backup PG or big man is a bad idea for a championship contender?

Ya'all saying he wants it easy are dump as fukk. Line up Cleveland and Golden State's rosters man to man, and 1 through 10 the ONLY Cleveland player that anyone is taking is TT....and Lebron.

2-time defending MVP Steph or Kyrie?
Top-3 shooting guard Klay or Korver?
DPOY runner-up Draymond or Love?
Finals MVP Iggy or Shump?
Livingston or Jefferson?
West/Clark/McGee or Frye/Liggins/McRae?

Lebron has to make up for deficiencies at EVERY position unless Kyrie balls out again, and cover massive gaps in the defence, and all while personally outplaying an MVP who is five years younger than him AND gets five minutes more rest a game than him because he actually has a bench that can do something without him.

"But he had it so easy!" :damn:

How do you expect a team to play when a player who is so ball dominant, doesn't play?

Disproportionalized structure of needing more, makes a "king" seem like less than one. Lebron needs to reinstate his excremental teammates. Yes, sometimes the do play "fecal-ish", but that's what timeouts and towels on the bench are for.

Wipe me down.

Y'all are retarded as fukk if you think washed up Allen/KG/Pierce would have been a smarter move for a title than in prime Wade/Bosh who were both top 10-15 players, with Wade being a top 3 player.

Seriously, that argument is one of the worst out there. They both made bytch moves.

:dahell: He was just trying to make a KD comparison, not suggesting joining the Celtics was a better move.

Where is your reading comprehension :gucci:

Moving the goalposts now.
First it was MJ never had a team as good as LeBron, but when the facts show the team is ass without leBron, its how do you expect the team to be good without him, its his fault. SMh

The team is built around Lebron. It aint gonna work when the main piece aint there :yeshrug:

Jordan did exactly that.
Jordan had Scottie and Grant and demanded more help
Jordan had Scottie and Rodman and complained about Krause not doing enough to get him pieces to win.

Kobe ran away Shaq and then when the team was garbage was on the radio begging Dr. Buss to trade him
I think you're comparing apples to oranges. The Teams Jordan went against in his era were much tougher. His battles with the pistons, knicks, pacers, were hard. For 6-7 years straight LBJ hasn't faced any opposition getting to finals.

Don't get me wrong I agree with your overall point about people forgetting about Jordan asking for help but where I respectfully disagree with you is the notion that Jordan complained to Krause or the media coming off of a championship, it didn't happen.

There isn't much difference between the 89-90 rosters of the bulls, it just took a better MJ to finally get past the Pistons. In 94-95, he knew(MJ) he needed more help to get past a rising Shaq & Penny so Kukoc got better and they got Rodman. But MJ asking for help and Lebron attention whoring for more help are two separate things. His comments came out of frustration because of the KD deal like everyone has said was unprecedented. He believes in his heart they are not good enough currently constructed to beat their biggest foe in the Warriors. Maybe he's right but has the organization by the neck and they will do whatever to please him which I guess they should.
