They literally have way too much to draw from.
Literally after Wolverine you have possibilities with X-Men, Avengers, Black Panther, Storm, Iron man etc. They can literally make Marvel games for the next 15 years and have new experiences that won't feel like fatigue. Marvel isn't a singular theme.

it's just that as you get further away from the most popular characters, it's becomes more likely an original IP could see similar success. original IP's also aren't restrained by 'canon', so I think they have more potential for longevity with their story, and gameplay

I don't mind if they make something small in between a major Marvel IP such as a Sunset Overdrive 2 or something else. They've shown to be very versatile and to have many projects going on at once.

Add in licensing fees and it makes it really hard to make a good profit on these games.

Sunset still the best game they’ve made outside ratchet,
