I'm sure 90% of you have seen The Wire but for those of you that don't a police major went against city policy and made drug dealing and drug possession legal so long as it was contained to a small area far away from the rest of the neighborhood residents.

Theoretically are you for or against something like this?

Individuals willing to expose themselves to risks of dealing in illegal businesses, I believe , should not be expected not to exercise their risk prone nature, by finessing such an agreement. We are creatures of habit after all.

Basically I feel they'll still try and get product out. They'll violate the agreement. Said Police tries to hold them accountable, however they don't possess any legal standing to do so. Said drug dealers threaten to expose the police major dirty dealings. Police major tries to protect himself in ways that further undermine integrity of department. And....... It basically becomes a shyt show

Those "safe injection" sites are such bullshyt and def some left winging pr scheme.

Let me tell you something, as an ex dope head who snorted dope all my life, these guys who go to these sites to shoot up either hitting that bytch up all day for free dope or getting high on top of what they getting. They are doing zero.

Those highs last 2-3 hrs max before they want more so unless those places open 24/7 , they aint helping dope fiends just enabling. The only way can do heroin and maintain a somewhat decent life is by NEVER shooting. But they only give it away BY shooting so its a lose lose for anyone thibking theyd help. Noone wver starts with a needle anyway.. they snort until its too explate naive to keep doing so.

In reality, in THIS country I don't think it could work. There would be TOO much violence. Once money involved, that violence won't be far behind. You'd spend too many police hours watching that area of the city than actually doing work
