How hard some of these elite athletes be working during the off season...

I mean most with common sense already knew this, but to see the examples is just crazy...

Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters running the Santa Monica stairs on 90 degree days..

Ray Rice running the beach with leg weights and no shoes...

Mayweather doing medicine ball work at 3 in the morning...

All those bitter fans that say athletes are overpaid or "If I was 6'7" I'd be in the league" need to stfu...

I wish we had social networking when Jerry Rice was doing the infamous off season workouts in Mississppi and the San Francisco hills...

:wow:

Even a marginal player like Nate Robinson looking like a Chippendale dancer with his shirt off while I'm sitting around eating hot wings..

:salute: these dudes
now granted a lot of 5'5 fans talking about these dudes dont deserve what they have are stupid. because they dont realize, the laziest guy that plays professional sports. had to practice 3 times as much as you played your favorite sport. to be as good as they are. and maybe 3 times isnt a lot in comparison to guys are are not lazy that are pros. but 3 times as much is more then you the regular dude will ever play any of those sports working on one part of your game, etc.

i used to play ball like a NUT and i still knew dudes (some who made it, some who got close). who practice even more then i played. and when i say i played a lot. believe me. i played more then most people who like basketball and played on the weekends with friends. thats why i could hang with any level of player. not beat. but hang. you have to put a lot of time in. i still remember this one dude. i would get home from school and have to walk thru this gym getting off hte school bus in high school to go a back way to my house. this one dude that played hs ball for another school was in the gym already tapping himself up getting ready to run thru drills ALONE. when i got to the crib did the homework, stretched then went back to the gym to play at night. he was there STILL, then he played with/against us. now granted most dudes i knew that were not insane about hoop were not up there with me that late in the evening EVERY DAY of hte week, including weekends. and lets not even talk about after i graduated. all day hoop all the time. nuccas playing 8 games straight cause no one can beat us. not cause they're are not good but cause we aint having it. then about to pack u and leave. and some high school AAU stars walk up to the courts "all yall gone leave on us" we put the stuff down and play another 3 games. thats 10+ games people. and i still know i aint got nothing on luke walton as far as how much he worked on his game.

**by the way its easier to work out in the sand with your shoes off then with them on. we had to do that nonsense in highschool with shoes on. we begged the coach to let us go barefoot. we were doing defensive slides in the sand for very long distances. that coach was trying to kill us. lol.

whoopty doo, they workout for 3 weeks from april to october.

they're in the club more than they're in the gym
dont lie to yourself. the club dont pop but once or twice a week and they superstars. getting their extra late. so what we talking about? clubbing for 2 hours, 3 hours tops twice a week. thats 6 hours of clubbin a week. 9 if you do 3 days. they working out doing 2 a days for 3 weeks straight, working out for 6 days out of 7. doing 2.5 hour workouts during each shift. you do the math. 5 hours of working out A DAY x 6. thats a lot more hours put in then clubbing.

What about those of us "regular" dudes who are in great shape? :manny:

It's easy to stay in great shape if you got a $10 million dollar carrot(contract) dangling in front of you and you have no other cares in life.
