You obviously didn’t read what they said they were going to do. They did not say they were going to block likes. They said they were going to block other people from seeing how many likes a post had and that’s what they did.

And that type of stupid shyt is why people post fake shyt, straight up lies, have half their p*ssy out, spending thousands on bots, like apps, and follow for follow and a host of other shyt. They even got a mass viewer app that makes your account view stories so people will say “hey who watched my shyt” and come give you some hits on yours
Yes this is also a way to funnel all that into IG owned tools and ads. But it’s also a way to get all that dumb shyt off there. Tired of posting a vacation pic and 30 bots comment about “nice shot! Come check out our page”

Correct, this experiment doesn't impact all users in the US.
I am 100% in support of IG hiding these vanity metrics because they have insidious ways of shaping people's behaviors and thoughts about themselves on these platforms.
