Instagram regrets trying to out "TikTok" TikTok

Reels aren't even well integrated from a user experience point of view. I'm scrolling scrolling, and then there's this reels video, sometimes on mute. I tap the video, and then it takes up the whole screen. Then when its done, it automatically scrolls to another reel video of someone I don't follow, and a video I don't even care about.

Then, when I'm looking at somebody's page and I tap into a reel, again full screen, then I can't even see the like, or save icons anymore. I wish they just removed it. The short videos were fine. I just go into instagram to scroll a little bit to break up my day. My attention span is to short for tik tok, which is why I don't have it

I have tik tok and Instagram and Instagram sucks in comparison.

I be seeing tiktoks on Instagram that I already saw two weeks ago

Instagram should have have stuck to pictures/videos but they wanted to end tiktok like they did Snapchat when they got put the stories feature.

As someone who doesn’t care to see pictures of celebrities there’s not much on Instagram for me .

You can pretty much set your tik tok to all your interests and only get that content .

I follow who I want, see their updates and keep it moving. it's like a modern day magazine

Yeah but if you want to see creativity you are most likely will see it on youtube or tik tok. Plus it's still social media so you can do what you are doing too

Yeah but if you want to see creativity you are most likely will see it on youtube or tik tok. Plus it's still social media so you can do what you are doing too

then yeah it's the best spontaneous app
but I don't need that all the time. sometimes I just want to see some celeb pics without the music and videos.

what's funny is that no one remembers music.ly which is basically tiktok without the makeup

I was on the “TikTok is for kids” bandwagon until I actually started using it.

Now I’m on there more than Instagram.

It’s actually crazy how tailored to my personality my TikTok FYP is.

I hate reels… I’ve unfollowed broads because all they post are corny, unfunny ass, lip synching reels. IG is my softcore ass and t*ts catalogue… they can keep all that other shyt.

Reels is fukking trash and a blatant copy of another app that does the same thing much MUCH better.

You win in business by being different, not by being the same. I don’t know how many times this has to be demonstrated for some of these CEOs to get this.

I don't look at celeb pics or tik toks so that's why insta falls for me. The average person gets to show their creativity
