Instagram update help

Real quick can someone help me out. I have an HTC one and it says instagram update is available on google play store to record videos now but it shows no update needed for my phone. Other people are saying they have the update on they phone but I have no ability to see or record videos with my current IG ap.

Can anyone help me or explain this. I just converted from iphone so all this stuff is still kinda new
