Im doing it now and its a ton of research and work.
I have a Nissan with a Bose system and the speakers are trash. im leaving the head unit and replacing all the door speakers and adding my 2 12's. for now ill be running off the Bose amp for the speakers. im replacing all the speakers with Infinity since its 2ohms throughout. i have 2 12" kicker cvr's with a kicker 750.1zx amp in a ported box from a previous car i had
im installing Components in the front doors which ive never done so thats a lot of wiring. the rear door speakers should go right in and i have to use a AudioControl LC2i converter to tap off my rear deck speakers(only speakers im leaving stock) to get my sub and amp going. then there is the whole running the power cord from the battery to the trunk ordeal
i few hundred dollars later i have all my speakers, wires and tools ready and im going to start the process this weekend and do a few things at a time over the next few weeks
wish me luck any tips would be useful
