You're right, but slavery not being abolished deals more with what they can do to you if you're convicted of a crime as opposed to just being taken by force and sold into human trafficking. This database has information on more than 35K slave voyages to the Americas and other places from the 16th to the 19th centuries. It clearly isn't complete, but it offers a great deal of information about various things like the name of the ships used, the height/weight of the slaves, age, embarkation and disembarkation, sex etc.

What I want to point out is the records of some of the slaves who were intercepted and brought back to Africa before reaching their destinations by 'human agencies' as listed in the records. Since these slaves were brought back and freed, their ACTUAL names were made a matter of record.

The search for slave names containing 'yah' found 822 records.

This part is good. The rest reminds me of Mormons.

I'm not Christian, so I'm not concerned with trying to tie myself to the Blood of Abraham. Why assume 'yah' is Hebrew instead of the other way around?
