In short he points out the lack of foresight in current wrestlers like Seth Rollins, who only look at the product in terms of getting themselves over, not the product as a whole.

Max landis pitched an idea that would get the whole tv presentation over and bring in more eyeballs, and in reply Seth was like, but which wrestler gets a boost from it, instead of realizing a rising tide lifts all the ships.

An example of the fukked up and distorted thought process that has pro wrestling shrinking and shrinking

Its why the Invasion angle could have never happened even if done right with all the correct people coming in:mjcry:

LU is showing the WWE how you make a better tv show, loses don't hurt when you have a overall theme and people invested in characters and who want to tune in to see what happens next week because everything isn't predictable.
The ep with Pentagon Dark versus the Triad is a b-movie epic.

Famous B has more character development than your average WWE wrestler.

If Pentagon was an American mark for himself wrestler, he would have never let the Triad come out and beat him and black Lotus break his arm and then DA Jr come in and break his other arm.
Thank goodness tv people actually write the script for LU though, because we know something big is going to happen when he heals up, and every episode since fans have been waiting for a glimpse of what is happening with him.
Its the same way fans have been wondering what is going to happen to Puma and where was Reyes and DA Jr.

On paper it would make for an interesting story but there's too many opinions to question or praise it to work and thats WWE. The shyt is almost too bloated with people's takes (fans included) for shyt to happen smoothly

This is spot on.

You can't blame Seth (or any wrestler in the 'E) when the lunatic running the asylum still has the same old-school carny mindset when it comes to the business...

This is also 100% accurate. The way Vince books it's almost impossible for the talent to see any "big picture" into any idea they are pitched. They know there's no point in that because it's not realistic and Vince will do whatever he wants and change his mind at any point so they are more concerned about who gets over.

They were 30 guys in the 80s and 90s from North America better?

Japan and Mexico I could see but..

Oh hell yeah man. Easily 30, can get more than 50 most likely.

But let's just stop there because this is gonna end up with me coming up with a useless list and you just disagreeing and going ":what:" at most of the picks :pachaha:

So basically despite WWE wanting to present itself as if it is a weekly TV show the people involved still have that old school carny mindset.
Seth's reaction is like if The Walking Dead writers pitched a giant umbrella story that would involve the whole cast but Andrew Lincoln only wanted to know how well the story served to highlight the character of Rick more than everybody else.
That was a great way to explain it

it's understandable why talent think like that because story lines are not a reliable form of getting over anymore. Vince rarely has a long term plan and cancels storylines a week in so talent feel like they can't trust creative to do what's best for them. Instead they look to get each other over via great matches, comedy, heel antics.

If I think about it for a bit it's hard to think of people who have gotten over strictly from a intriguing storyline (DBry maybe, but j would argue that it was the lack of creative direction seen as disrespect by fans that got him over) as opposed from having indie respect, great in ring ability or being hilarious
