In a marriage both parties are bound to change affecting each other in a way
I'm a long time Heat fan (1993) so i followed D-Wade's career from the start. And some of you guys are delusional or have short memories if you think Dwyane Wade is a low-key drama free individual. I love D-Wade but dude always been a bit of a diva by male athlete standards. As a rookie he felt disrespected and made sure to have a camera crew follow him around as he went out of his way to rub elbows with all the NBA media people to remind them that Carmelo and LeBron werent the only upcoming stars from the draft. Remember when he again had the camera crew follow him around during all-star weekend his first year as he went out of his way going around introducing himself to all the NBA greats like Bill Walton and Bill Russell as they praised him for his impact as a rookie? Again he had a camera crew follow him around as he did this. This was a good 6 years before he started dating her. Also, his divorce from his first wife was very public... And before that there was the, again, very public rift with Riley in 2008.
I remember back on the Coli (original Coli on SOHH) people were making jokes saying this commercial isnt far from the truth

- WHen he started acting like a Diva in 2008. Shaquille O'Neal was to blame. People were saying he was a humble kid his first year and Riley shoudnt have brought Shaq around to be a bad example in the lockerroom. Especially after Shaq almost hit Riley in that infamous exchange.
- When he switched trainers and some questioned his health issues: LeBron was to blame since they now had the same trainer.
- And now this with Gabrielle Union.
- Edit: Oh yeah there was that year (2009) when he started taking more shots and lead the league in scoring. People blamed the time he spent around Kobe Bryant in the Olympics.
