Revenge flick with a black leadlooks good enough but he's a pretty poor picker of projects. First he typecasts himself as Mr biopic no on watches. Now fresh off of civil war (his 1st real foray into mainstream) he accepts another role where he speaks with the exact same accent? It's bad enough he barely changes his look between roles but this is just. ..

I don't doubt that is true but perception wise it looks like he just got off the set of CACW, was still in character and said "yeah" to the first role offeredThis movie was made before Boseman even got the Black Panther role. He said in a bunch of interviews last year and the year before that he built the Black Panther accent off the one he uses in "Message from a King".

Nothing Boseman can really do about that. Happens all the time where an actor does a movie then years later a studio will release it after the actor starts getting mainstream attention. Same thing happened to Jamie Foxx after he won an Oscar, they started releasing all these old ass movies he made to cash in on his name. Similar thing happened with Chris Hemsworth when they released A Cabin in the Woods years after he'd filmed it because of the Thor films and Avengers.

Just got done watching this, it' a dope little revenge flick with a really good cast. Almost had a little bit of a twist ending too that puts certain things into better perspective.
It's not a bad movie by any stretch, but it's also not something that would have done well in theaters.
