Internet forums are disappearing because now it's all Reddit and Discord. And that is worrying

Yea forums are the best for information and discussion. Reddit's format is horrible for actual discussion and on top of that moderation is completely horrible and they put loser ass mothafukkas in charge that will shut down any difference in opinion. For me since I somewhat do competitive gaming a forum/wiki combo is the best for actual information and discussion.
I was using that forum search filter daily when it was available. google killed off a lot of things that were useful like rss reader that they couldn't monetize.

Both are awful imo, like Reddit does has its use, you can find answers to shyt, its great to find streams, torrent sites, hacked apps etc, but as a social plataform to have conversations about a topic is awful imo.
Discord is just shyt for me, its the same as IRC back in the day, a bunch of people talking at the same time, awful for discussion, my friends use it for online play but I barely play online and when I do I just call them on whatsapp, they hate it but at the end of the day is the exact same shyt as calling them on discord.

Black men will always find the need , the desire to communicate with each other. It's standing on the corner, at the convenience store, to sitting and playing checkers. The desire and need to " kick the Bobo ", is paramount.

I can definitely agree with Discord too many people talking at the same time and conversations going by so fast by the time you can get an articulate thought on the topic it has already changed.

I use reddit as a search option. Most of the time you'll find the question you're looking for.
In terms of actually participating in conversation there? It's unusable.
You can't find where the conversation started, it's an absolute mess, and by the time you do find where it started, joining the conversation is pointless.
And if you make a post and they don't like it your comment gets hidden. It could be something as simple as, "I like stock ABC for future growth" and your comment will get down voted to oblivion.
All my favorite sports forums I was on from 2002-2012 all disappeared one by one. After the coli I'm hanging up my boots.
