This is a good thread @bdizzle . I got a few ideas myself. I actually went out and bought a web domain and tried a blog for a bit. It's funny how time flies cuz it's been like 3 years since I started it and over a year since my last post. I did zero advertising or SEO and had a few visitors. I would continue it but it's really time consuming.

This thread got me motivated with ideas tho. I'm writing out my goals at the moment. fukk it, I'll share cuz maybe it will help.

GOAL:
To make it not feel like work. I want to connect my personal interests with an opportunity to make money. There is value in knowledge. Ideally what I'm working on should allow me to learn something I've been wanting to learn while teaching others.

^^that's vague but it gives me flexibility. I think A LOT. Like I'm a real deep thinker for real. Oftentimes there are things in life I don't know/understand, and I'm a pretty smart dude. There are also a ton of things I wish could be easier. These represent opportunities and are the foundation for good ideas that can make money.

I can count on multiple hands all the ideas I had over the years that someone else went out and MADE HAPPEN.

I haven't been pressed tho because I make good money and haven't really been in need of anything for years. I'm more into this for the inspiration and intellectual challenge.

:camby: Instead of hating on a man who is doing something with his life and trying to teach people for free, why dont you just take his advice with a grain of salt. You might learn something that you can apply to yourself
I'm not going to put my entire business out there, so I'll let you guys figure it out for yourselves :manny:

what kind of fiction do you write? Were you always a good writer or did it come with time and experience?

basically masturbatory material for submissive women
i think of myself as more of a storyteller than a proper writer
last year i took an online course at The Open University
learned a few things about character development
other than that, just writing in the workplace and during school

I published 18 books last year, shyt wasn't really worth the effort but the residuals aren't bad now.

Kindle Unlimited really changed the game though. This year my strategy will be different due to KU basically encouraging us to publish short trash.

at first i was doing standalone stories but now i am trying to serialize everything
i am still learning and need to find ways to accumulate a steady audience
