No offense, but do you and your family claim a majority of the ancient Egyptian history(pyramids; hieroglyphs, etc)?
this the interracial dating thread breh

the "who can claim ownership of ancient egypt" thread is tomorrow.

both threads by the same poster on the same night would make our servers :hamster: status

Anybody like that.........leave them alone.............you have to deal with mom too.........she won't likely choose you over mama...........just get yourself straight........women are better as they age..............

I feel you. And like I said, I've been done with her for a while now and haven't looked back.. more money in my pocket, less headaches.. it's a win/win for me really. I just thought maybe more people on here had experienced dating a girl from an entirely different upbringing and could explain how they were able to respond to it.

Hey all, as you can probably tell by my name, I'm a native Egyptian.. born and raised there but moved here at a fairly young age, attended all my schooling here, etc. I'm more or less American when it comes to my cultural tastes and values, etc., but definitely still identify as an Egyptian and come from a deeply rooted Egyptian family.

A few months ago, I just got out of a year long relationship with a black girl I'd known since high school. When I look back and think about it, I know a breakup was inevitable just because we had entirely different goals as people, and neither of us seemed willing to bend. Thing is though, I wonder if anyone in here has any experience with a relationship like this (not just a black/white thing, but from two completely different countries) and whether they could shed some light on the matter.
wait a min... egypt and african people aren't the same...... even tho egypt is in africa

:ohhh:

anyways to answer your question... or speak on it....

the problem was as you said "we had entirely different goals as people, and neither of us seemed willing to bend."

so you knew going in that you basically didn't even want to end up at the same place in life, but you carried it on anyway, knowing that the plan in any relationship is to find the one to spend your life with.

seems you should worry less about race and culture, and find someone with similar goals, beliefs and compromise

What I was saying there was does anyone have an experience to share about an interracial relationship other than just a black and white couple; I'm very well aware that I'm not white lol.

Funny you bring that up though, because as far as the federal government is concerned, I am. North Africans are considered Caucasian for census purposes here in the United States.. which is laughable really.

Africa is a massive continent, 55 countries and bigger than United States, China and India combined in terms of geographic size; lots of different types of people and different cultures throughout. Egyptians are African though yes.

And yeah, you're exactly right with your last point. It honestly started as some casual shyt but turned serious more quickly than either of us anticipated.

i wasn't really trying to shyt on you... you been here in america so you see how us black americans act and talk

ANYTHING related to africa is automatically "our culture"... we came from kings... we built the pyramids... we had the knowledge game on lock... we taught the greeks

shyt we even get mad and outraged when they have african characters from any point in history, that are shown or performed by non whites. cleopatra to king tut

so that's why i said that... cause i really am amazed that actual egyptians don't generally just say, "i'm black"

but back on the original subject... my mom always told me, no matter how "down" a person seems... they will NEVER truly understand you because they will never live as a black person.. they will never get the looks or prejudices or racism that you got... so there will always be times that they can't possibly understand what you're dealing with...

it'll also be hard as fukk to raise that child, knowing that their white/asian/middle eastern mom, won't have any clue on how to prepare them for that.

i always thought she was old school... till i grew up... and find a lot of women i dated outside my race, always tried to downplay racial things i went through... even now i gotta bark on my BM for stupid shyt she lets happen to my son.. cause she doesn't see the racial undertones of what's going on, cause she didn't spend her whole life paying attention to them

You're an Arab man asking why your relationship with an African American woman didn't work out on this website of all websites

I'll just reserve my spot

obamakardashian3.gif

Just a small correction, Egyptian is mostly Berber with some Arab/Greek/(sometimes)Black blood.

But you're right. After seeing all the exposal threads on several websites I don't even know who's a troll and who's not anymore. It really opened my eyes seeing that a lot of people on forums are psychotic liars.
