Very ambitious movie....Ending really makes you think....they changed the 2008 script around

Part of me dont like that they didnt go the alien route


I guess the implication is the future descendants of Brand's colony built the wormholes that Cooper and gang used to travel to the other galaxy....

There is a paradox though...if the future humans as they suggest built the wormholes..how did the future humans get off Earth in the first place????

Was no one else about love basically being the dimension that transcends all mediums?

Also i kinda wanted to see how the new humans looked or their world. How the hell did tars make it there and Cooper didn't.

Was the sound off to anybody else? I could barely hear shyt at some parts

In the script when Tars went into the black hole because of relativity...he was there for 300 years by the time Copper made it in there.

Thats was fukked up how they left the nikka on the ship for 20 years........he was like "I waited "

Believe it or not, the whole love theory is one of the oldest beliefs.... people tend of call it "soul mates". Others use it as astrological signs. But POINT is that the 5th dimension is a SPIRITUAL dimension that is communicated through an emotional wavelength... or in laments terms, ":love".

Also, it is sorta implied the 5th dimensional beings are practically GODLIKE. It's one of those things where you need to stop viewing things from a 3D perspective and open your 3rd eye. While Coop was in the Tesseract, TARS explained to him that "THEY" created it in order for Coop to see and understand things from a 3 dimensional perspective in spite being IN a 5th dimensional realm. It's sorta like in 2001 where the "aliens" sent the monolith to assist the evolution of mankind, but you NEVER saw the aliens.

Very very good and thought provoking film. It was cliche in some parts but that helped keep it grounded amidst the space and spectacle.

When Matt Damon showed up I was like I don't know if it was supposed to be a surprise his casting or not because I tried to stay spoiler free but his inclusion was cool.


The ending left just a little bit to be desired, it's like we just gonna leave Ann Hathaway out there by her lonesome? Why? We can find Cooper out there in the ethers of space moments before death but they can't go get ole girl?

Nolan the Gawd did it though. Made an intelligent, emotionally charged film that I felt didn't dumb down for the audience. An original film not based upon a comic book or novel

Yup exactly. The chicken vs the egg paradox. But it is also suggested that the 5th dimension TRUMPS the 4th dimension which is TIME. So, the concept of time is irrelevant and everything is spherical, meaning a lasting loop. It's like how it is in the real world, there's no beginning and there's no end.

My Thoughts:

Nolan did what a movie should do and provoke thought...

The usage of "Time" as a main character is truly genius. "Time" was used to perfection, from the scene where they are talking about not wasting time on the planet, to seeing Cooper's kids messages...the linear and looping of time definitely made the film a must-see

The scene where they went through the wormhole, trying to dock with the Endurance, and Cooper through the event horizon were all awe-inspiring....I saw it in 70mm IMAX and I felt like i was on a roller coast. Kudos to Nolan.

I also noticed a sound issue. Couldn't understand/hear any of the dialogue at certain points and that shyt actually kinda pissed me off lol

The beginning was sloww for me, could've been trimmed imo.
I thought Matt Damon's whole scene/existence was unnecessary i get what he(Nolan) was tryna do but ehh the execution could have been better

It was real obvious when the other white dude was gonna die but after that I knew it was only a matter of time for Rome

Overall, it was cool wouldn't see it again though.

As I said in the other thread, I liked the movie despite it's flaws and visually it's an amazing watch but man. The Honest Trailer for this flick might just end up being the GOAT

Just got back. Loved it. I was torn between and when the movie was over. I ate a weed cookie before the movie so maybe that's why.
Are "they" supposed to be organic creatures that learned to move into the 5th dimension? Or are they humans? I can't figure that one out.
More time should've passed while they were in the accretion disc, but I understand the need for the plot to utilize the daughter.
I am fine with the whole Teserract concept. Because if you follow string theory, gravity pervades the universe and time via "strings" between matter. So "pulling a string" at a intersect of gravity like that, technically COULD affect a string connected to matter light years away.
