:blessed: Tried it out for the first time. I'm liking the playlist recommendations, the option to download for offline listening. Found the roots album that I haven't heard in years. I can't wait to use this while at the gym.

why do you DESPISE the native podcast app so much? It works extremely well imho, especially when compared to the alternatives.

shyt is dope dude tripping .

I dont like it because it always has trouble with podcast art when I sync podcast to them. It would delete podcast after I listen to them (which I don't like, but I believe I can turn that off)

the other thing is, the podcast app doesn't want to show the podcast info that I put into itunes. like I said, there are a number of annoyances with it which is why I don't use it.

changing podcast into an audiobook and using it in the music app worked perfectly, and it was what I did prior to apple forcing you to use any media type podcast in their native app.

also, the problem I mentioned yesterday is a fukk up with audio books in the ibooks app.

when you have media that's an audio book, it will no longer show the chapter title. it just list it as track 1, track 2, track 3 etc. it also doesn't tell you that you've played an audio book, so its hard to know what you have and haven't listened to. especially since the chapters aren't labeled in a way where u can tell.

I know I could change the audio back to music and that would allow it to work in the music app again, but then it still wouldn't show me what I have and haven't listened to with a dot next to it.

here's a thread on it from the apple boards so I know I'm not crazy.

All my audio books are via audible so I have no issues there. Podcasts album art, info, and everything else works great. Better than any other podcast app on android or windows phone, and trust me I've used them all

Apple plans to increase iTunes Match limit to 100,000 songs

By Dante D'Orazio on June 28, 2015 06:36 pm

There are lots of cool new features in iOS 9 — including a bunch that Apple hasn't even announced — and we've just found another to add to the list. iTunes Match subscribers will soon be able to store up to 100,000 songs in iCloud, up from the 25,000-song limit that's been in place since the service first launched in 2011.

The news was revealed by Apple executive Eddy Cue on Twitter in response to a number of questions about how the company's upcoming music streaming service, Apple Music, will integrate with iTunes Match. In addition to mentioning the new 100,000 song limit, which Apple plans to launch alongside iOS 9 later this year, Cue reiterated that all Apple Music subscriptions will essentially include iTunes Match.

"Apple Music includes iTunes Match"

As Apple's website explains, Apple Music will match and upload any songs you own so that you can access them anywhere, just like iTunes Match. That means that if there's any song or album you want to listen to that's not included in the Apple Music catalog, you can just buy it (from any source), upload it, and then listen to it in the same app, no matter which device you use.

The combination of Apple Music and iTunes Match — alongside the new 100,000 song limit — brings the company's offerings up to par with Google Play Music, which lets you upload up to 50,000 songs and stream from a large catalog of music as part of its subscription service. Google's music upload service is free, however — iTunes Match on its own continues to cost $24.99 per year.

Get rid of the "Connect" button and replace it with "Playlist"
If "Connect" doesn't interest you, MacRumors reader Eric points out a handy tip to replace the "Connect" tab with a dedicated "Playlists" tab which he describes as "much more useful".

Under Settings -> General -> Restrictions, Apple allows you to disable "Apple Music Connect" which removes the Connect tab and provides the alternate Playlist functionality.
That Connect seems wack to me so far
