He foubd a phone thats locked with thumb print security. He must not know about the toe hack. Press the home button against each one of your toes one at a time starting with your big toe then work your way back from your pinky toe. Eventually one of the prints will be close enough to the owners to unlock the phone.

You just gotta factory restore/reset it.

Step 1
Hold down the iPhone’s “Sleep/Wake” button until the slider appears on the screen, and then use your fingertip to slide the slider to turn off the device.

Step 2
Connect the iPhone’s USB cable to an available port on your computer. Don’t connect the iPhone at this time.

Step 3
Hold down the iPhone’s “Home” button as you connect the other end of the USB cable to the device. The iPhone will turn on automatically.

Step 4
Continue to hold down the “Home” button until the “Connect to iTunes” message appears on the screen. Release the “Home” button. A message appears stating that iTunes detects the iPhone as a device in recovery mode.

Step 5
Click “OK” and then click “Restore” to start the restore process. This will erase all data currently stored on the device.

This actually works better if the phone is submerged in the toilet for 5 seconds. It apparently confuses the thumbprint reader or something to that effect.

Now youre just trolling. You don't "submerge" it. If the toe method doesnt work, you take a cap full of bleach, soak a q tip in it then gently rub the sensor for 30 - 45 seconds. That should be enough to wipe the sensor and allow other thumb prints to unlock the phone. Of course remembering to place the phone in a bowl of rice afterwards to soak up any excess moisture.
