Was close to upgrading to the 6 cuz i got tired of the bloatware and lagginess of my s4 then decided to rock with the g3...best decision i made.

This happens every year. Apple releases a new iPhone in September and then Google follows-up and releases the next generation of Nexus devices.

Nexus takes the hype away from the iPhone 6 by providing stock Android L, better hardware and a cheaper price while Samsung is about to release the Note 4/Edge which completely shyts on the iPhone 6's specs.

This is Apple's "honeymoon" period once it's January all eyes are on Samsung again.

nah bruh. iPhones don't have a "honeymoon" period where they suddenly drop in popularity, especially with the epic shortages going on with the 6 Plus. Apple is definitely going to dominate the holidays, The Nexus isn't anywhere NEAR the mainstream popularity of iphones. Samsung had a weak showing with the S5 and don't have a stranglehold on the phablet category any longer now with 6 Plus on deck....

And the iOS version of hangouts had the ability to make calls since day one.

I have hangouts but never even use it because there are better 3rd party google clients available.

My iPhone is jailbroken so google voice with quick reply is all integrated into iMessage.
