we fighting for the freedom to use the contactless payment network of your choice. and if you tryna force us to use your inferior system because its profitable for you than you can keep the shyt you sellin.
Why is it inferior? I thought you could load your funds into currentc

Point is they are trying to cut out the middle man (banks) the banks let them use credit cards and charges the retailer rates. What's bad is these credit cards offer rewards and stuff right? How do you think they pay for those rewards? They increase the rates they charge the retailer. That means the retailer then raises their prices and in the end it hurts the consumer.

I mean you can still say the consumer is getting raped anyway but caping for the banks isn't going to make a difference.

It's about choice, breh. These companies are rejected certain methods while only accepting theirs. That right there should tell you it's inferior because they know no one would choose to use it willingly.

shyt, it just got hacked earlier today. :heh:

CurrentC is inferior because:

You need internet connection
You are liable for fraud
You have to provide drivers license, social, banking number and routing number,
You have to open the app to use it and scan the code (QR code)
It collects health and location data (most likely to send to companies to monitor your habits and market to your needs)
It hasn't even dropped and its been hacked.

CurrentC advantages lie in the the fact that its connected straight to your bank and companies are wiling to give rewards, points, discounts and etc if you use currency cuz they save money on credit card fees. Also, doesn't require nfc so older devices can use it.

It's stupid at what kind of fights these companies engage in.

People want to spend money, you have to make it easier on THEM...not what is convenient for YOU.

Both the banks and retailers are full of it. This time we support the banks the next time it may be the stores.
