I worked in cellphone stores for most of my career and the at&t iPhone is one of the easiest phones to unlock

I can understand for a normal person they would rather not mess with a $500 device in fear of fukking it up.

my advice is check back with them on monday, if it's not jailbroken then get ur money back and find someone reputable online or even craigslist if you wanna take a risk and they'll do it for way less than $80

and if the case is that ur iPhone is already jailbroken, and u wanna try the unlock urself. I can PM you a link to step by step unlock it in 2 minutes. try it and see if it works, if not then take it to a professional. (99.9%) it works breh.

after it's jailbroken all u need is the source code and cydia, ultrasn0w is what I use to do the unlock and you honestly need nothing else

*edit* the phone should never take more than 24 hrs to unlock, it takes literally less than 10 minutes to jailbreak and unlock an at&t factory iPhone, and they charged you way more than they needed to. seems like these muthafukkas are clueless more than you are in how to unlock a phone or they on some shady shyt.
