Exactly! Oppression to white people is not getting their alcohol, not being given special treatment or the benefit of the doubt or just being told no in general. They dont get any of the above the 'real' them comes out.

America is funny because the Irish and different ethnicities like Germans are all classed under the umbrella as white to promote white supremacy. So you right breh in America "Irish oppression" is non-existentant nowadays.

I just felt like it would be fair to point out that Catholic Irish people were legitimately oppressed and colonised by the British similar to several countries across the world.

The British used the same divide and conquer tactics on them as well as pseudoscience to call the Irish subhuman to justify their crimes.

In fact the Catholic Irish drew a lot of inspiration from the civil rights movement in America and have murals of civil rights leaders like Fredrick Douglas and MLK on their walls when fighting for their own civil rights.

Yeah our civil rights movement in the U.K. Was a direct result of the black civil rights movement in america.

Also the the ANC's biggest bombing against apartheid South Africa was done with the help of the ira in 1980. Our causes supported and helped each other the whole way during that time.

There are still walls between Catholic and Protestant neighbourhoods to stop us killing each other in Northern Ireland to this day.

Catholics are 55% of northern Ireland's prison population despite only being 44% of the total population.
