I wouldn't have gone for the 2points.

Simple reason - you hold the Ravens to a field goal and the score is 23 - 15. Now the Steelers are forced to convert a 2pt conversion on their next touchdown. If you kick the extra point you have much more leeway if the score is 23 - 16.
