I’m starting to think the real reason this was delayed for so long is because the actress playing Riri was miscast.
It honestly felt like watching a British actress struggle to play an American character… except she’s not British.

Cree Summer is a popular actress for Rugrats and A Different World. I clocked her as soon as I saw her in episode 1.
Plus she offered to perform a cleansing ritual for Riri after she got back to Chicago so we were supposed to think she was doing dimestore junk magic when she showed up again.

While ballsy I hate the decision at the end. It's going to give haters something else to latch onto.
I wish they left it more ambiguous. It kind of felt like that's where they were going until the very end.

honestly man i don't even remember like anything from that show but her getting the ability to turn on a tv with a quarter in like 3 minutes and "hello katebishop"
I think it set the quality bar for disney plus, and best represents 'generic disney marvel quality' for better or worse which is why it's RIGHT in the middle

I did like the design of the final suit and some of the issues of Riri dealing with her PTSD, but overall the show mostly didn't work for me. Can't really say there was one element that really jumped out, with it suffering from the same issues as a lot of these Marvel Disney+ shows. And not sure there will be resolution to the cliff-hanger finale.
