Been meaning to introduce thecoli to Frank Wilderson. Discovered him way back. His very compelling theory of Afro-pessimism blew me away and made me think in a whole new manner the first time I dipped into it. I still haven't fully gone into the complete depths of his work or a few of the other scholars involved in the theory.

But this is a recent talk he did.

Gonna peep, I learned about this school of thought a little over a month ago. There are definitely some valuable insights there but I disagree with its position on class society/Marxism and its theoretical privileging of the "libidinal economy" over political economy (for example, I think it gets the origins of chattel slavery completely wrong).
