Irritating things that Youtubers do...

:stopitslime:

  • "Hey guys!"

  • "Don't forget to like, comment and subscribe!"

  • Padding out the content instead of getting to the point

  • Clickbait

  • Pornstarlet money shot thumbnail face

  • Blatant shilling/infomercial tendencies

  • All of the above

  • All of the above to the 10th power

Trying to sell me Raycons. I haven't heard a single good thing about them that wasn't said by Youtuber trying to keep the lights on.
I tried supporting Raycons because of Ray J and that black business perception

I went through 3 pairs. And come to find out, Ray J is a co-owner with this asian cac

He doesn't even have any black executives or leadership pubically acknowledged in his corporation

I bought the new Galaxy Buds and haven't looked back since

Don’t forget to like and smash the subscribe button

I swear, if your ish is good, you would NEVER have to say that because people would like and subscribe on their own.

Some good creators hardly, if ever, say that…

I NEVER hit the like button. they can take that thumbsup and shove it up their ass.

I can forgive a lot of the other stuff but I can't stand click-baiting. Thankfully, I normally watch history and science shyt so it is low on that. :whew:

I'll unsubscribe to any channel if they start routinely click baiting.

most creators will pad their videos to be just over 8 minutes because that allows them to put in unlimited ad breaks in their content. I have YT premium, so I don't care, but if I didn't :sadcam:

Excessive video edits because the person doesnt know what they are talking about.

Damn near every 5 to 10 seconds the video is cut because they are unqualified to discuss whatever the topic is that they chose.

Breh, I kid you not but 5-10 seconds is considered a rarity. I was watching a video recently and it was almost every other word was a cut. I can only imagine a) the tedium of editing that and b) how bad the original take must've been. On the flip I saw another one that did it a way that was very engaging but then she didn't try and hide it as she bounced around the screen which made it visually entertaining.

There definitely is an art to this but those excessive cuts are wild because they become distracting. Another thing I'm seeing now is the clip with overlaid text thing like gaudy, enforced subtitles. A perfectly looped short is oddly satisfying though.

- Make that dumb ass shocked face in the thumbnail

-Bury the lede and make u scroll thru a 20 minute vid for the info u want

- Click bait titles/obviously shopped thumbnails

- Have the audio of their voice or music be loud/jarring/annoying

- Claim to be losing weight but not get on the scale or otherwise come up off the numbers

-Try on swimsuits and not show us the rear view
