I was just thinking about them ppp loans. I don't know how that is taxed, but the federal tax rate on 20k is 12%. That's $2,400. That's gonna wipe out a lot of ppl's refunds or even worse, that's gonna be an extra $2,400 owed to the IRS and we both know them scammers ain't tryna pay that shyt back lol

Internal Revenue Service Commissioner Danny Werfel on Thursday said the agency will not hire any armed auditors with $80 billion in new funding, an attempt to dispel Republican assertions the IRS plans to build an "army" of 87,000 armed agents.

Just came from another thread that had a twitter post saying the Daily Loud is being co-opted by Repub and far right messaging, looks like they were right.

The tweet said special agents and not auditors. The quote said they will typically be armed. And the requirements are right on the IRS website:

• Work a minimum of 50 hours per week, which may include irregular hours, and be on-call 24/7, including holidays and weekends.
• Maintain a level of fitness necessary to effectively respond to life-threatening situations on the job.
• Be willing and able to participate in arrests, execution of search warrants, and other dangerous assignments.
• Carry a firearm; must be prepared to protect him/herself or others from physical attacks at any time and without warning and use firearms in life-threatening situations; must be willing to use force up to and including the use of deadly force.
