Try to get Tha Liks. Pharcyde. Brand Nubian. Mike Jones. Juvenile. Wale. Dayton Family.
They've done Drink Champs. Sadat X was passed out. Wale said "this how you know dudes eff with you but don't know your music." J-Ro wasn't there for the Liks, but there was a crazy story about Tash drunk episodes, and why he's sober now.

@Ziggiy he sound salty
oooh a shot at Nas :lupe:

He’s always told that story. Its not a shot.

For those that know its about Nas signing with Murda Inc. Nas was extremely close to doing it but Irv was boasting about how much bigger Nas was going to be and how they were going to do this and that and Nas wasn’t feeling Irv’s energy and one day Irv was talking about how they were going to ride on all of their enemies and Nas said something to the effect of “What if we die?” And Irv was like it “fukk it we die!!” And then Nas disappeared.

Irv called up Steve Stoute and Stoute schooled Irv on how to approach/talk/manage Nas but it was too late

Plus he never had all the ingredients.

That's why ain't nothing shaking Irv
No motion

You ain't Jell-O
You ain't Haribo gummy bears
Not even the apricot flavor

Just a half smoked dollar store cigar
Thrown out the window on a side street outside of Wichita.

I thought is was just Nas was signed to Columbia and Murda Inc. was Def Jam and Columbia wasn't gonna just let him sign somewhere else.

Nas could have signed with anyone after Stillmatic his contract was up. He ended up resigning for three more albums and when he wanted to leave for Def Jam he argued that Streets Disciple being a double album counted as two albums but Columbia was like “Nah” so thats why Sony and Def Jam split the proceeds from Hip Hop Is Dead and Untitled.
