It was a business and personal decision. Nas didn’t like the way Irv was getting high and making all of these bold claims and boasts and plans to make things super big. Nas probably saw the writing on the wall but I doubt he gave a fukk about G-Unit and 50. This was 01-02 before 50 Cent’s buzz was undeniable. Nas was replacing 50 on remixes with Jlo during this time, 50 was still actively being blackballed

Not gonna lie this is the BEST interview that Nore has ever conducted personally. He kept Irv on topic, didn’t interrupt him too much, kept a nice balance of humor, they didn’t go overboard on the drinking game (probably because Irv himself didn’t drink) and really let Irv get his shyt off.

Irv tells some very interesting stories and comes off authentic. I’m glad they didn’t spend too much time rehashing the Ashanti shyt and Irv seemed conscious of talking about her too much, he didn’t come off bitter like he did last time.

If Nore could be like this in EVERY interview he might honestly be the best podcaster in the game

My favorite part was him saying Large Professor showed him how to produce. He said when he was on tour with the UMCs, Main Source, Jay-Z and Jaz and Large Professor made the "It's a Boy" remix for Slick Rick and he was in amazement.

when Irv mentions he was on tour with Biggie, Mic Geronimo and Craig Mack

he says when Jay and Dame say he (Irv) was their dj, he said he was way more than just a DJ

then Nore goes, "Dame says you fukked everything up"

he said he doesn't listen to Dame. he then says "I don't give a fukk about what Dame says".

he said he still cool with Jay and Biggs

then he goes into the whole Takeover vs Ether and Jay and Nas beef
