I just have the feeling that if Irv was the head of a label, Hip Hop would get exponentially better very quickly. Why do you think he hasn't been given his shot outside of that whole FBI raid/distribution attempt fiasco? Has he been blacklisted?
:usure:
he is blackballed for being arrogant and laundering money. and while he did have an eye for talent as an a&r, he was responsible for horrible horrible music as an exec. case inn point:

as much as fifty cent claims he was responsible for murder inc's downfall, in reality they fell of because people were tired of the terrible records they produced.

That song was a classic breh.

Ja's timeless rough harmonies :wow:

I wonder if fresh out of jail Ja can still push those melodies out of his swole ass chest.

The swole/diesel effect never ends well for rap bredren. DRe Timb and Nelly all had the same fate. The only one to fully recover his skills was Timb

The song is terrible, but it was the most successful single off The Last Temptation which went Plat.

I see it being more because of the laundering

yes he was blackballed because of the money laundering, but looking at the mesmerize video, i doubt hiphop would be in a better state than it is right now, if irv gotti was still a powerful exec.

and while the single might have been successful, murder inc were still regarded as sellouts at that point. people sided with fifty cent because they were tired of ja rule acting like a tough guy and releasing crappy pop records.

On another note, I never seen that corny ass beginning of the video before :wtf:
This just made this song even worst to me.
