I find it hilarious how financial stuff seems complicated on the surface with all these terminologies and jargons: ETFs, Roth IRA, CDs, compound interest, dividend yield, index funds, etc. It's almost like they're DELIBERATELY trying to discourage the average person from investing. I've tried researching in the past but shyt just gets confusing to me.
A lot of these instruments do get very complex and a lot of it is just the firm's way of protecting themselves to avoid class action lawsuits.
But this stuff is definitely good to know and I advise everyone to read up on it.
Truthfully though if you are a novice investor nothing is wrong with playing it safe and going with a large cap ETF or gov't bond fund

Pretty much it's all post tax money youre putting into it for retirement. Any money that grows in it isn't taxed when you withdraw at the specified age.

I recommend betterment because they choose the etfs for you and you don't have to waste time trying to do it yourself.
I have the betterment app can I get one through them

No amount is too low to invest.

If you can invest the money in tech, and invest wisely, you can become a millionaire within two years. But you need an element of luck as well because hit and miss is the name of the game. Just keep your eyes open and be on the look-out for things worth investing in - to maximise your returns.
