$1600 in the U.S. is cheap no matter how you put it. I was making $1200 a month working at Walmart. That's about $10/hr on 35-37 hour weeks. That fact that you can work a shytty job and pay all your living expenses means it's a cheap COL. And if it's in a decent area with decent living standards that's even better

I'm around $2200 a month with everything included. Groceries is a killer with 3 kids. Two cars paid for and 5 figure cash savings along with gold & silver. No house and no retirement though.
