I'm not a rap nerd in the least...I just can't pretend/act like something terrible is fire, lol. I aint doing that to placate/fit in with the kids and what they like, that's corny
If you aren't a rap nerd, you wouldn't understand 21's genius in his artistry

I used to think like you until I heard Close My Eyes and that Without Warning project he did with Offset

21 isn't an elite lyricist. He has his role as a storyteller. This is the new Gangsta Rap. And he does it very well

Booth is flabby as always. Hoes love 21.
You show them good music and they yell at the Coli clouds

"This isn't better than the hip hop I grew up with. Back in the day when I was happier, music was way better
:skip: "

They nitpick. They don't listen to music to appreciate like they did when they were younger. This is the real problem that never gets talked about on here

They aren't growing with the times. Most of them don't even know how to look for shyt on the internet
I gave up trying to introduce the :flabbynsick:nikkas to the newer rappers even Pac would embrace if he was still here

I'm the same way, I always just exclude myself when it comes to critiquing these kids because I'm too old...but stuff like this is just factual, lol...like he is awful awful. I can't understand how/why someone over like 21 (no pun) that's a rap fan can even get jiggy with this ish...as jammin as some of it is, because the rapping is so bad. It's TOO simple. Son aint even that young I don't think, he's like 30 right?

Anybody got some of this newer stuff where he's rhyming better please link it, salute.

:mjlol: I had this same argument with some of my dudes the other day at a cook out. For the life of me, I couldn’t understand how anyone in their 30s and 40s could listen to these dudes and think they can actually rap. I can understand kids liking this shyt because this is all they know, but old nikkas? Ain’t no way.

I even played pulled some of 21 and Lil Baby’s acapellas to prove my point.

Thats not it at all. The rhyming is objectively bad compared to even a decade ago. Listen to Drake, Cole or Kendrick and then 21 and the try to argue with a straight face that the rhyming and artistry hasn’t fallen off. :heh:

It’s like watching basketball progress from MJ to Lebron to Splash bros, then someone shows up playing basketball like the 1950s with chest and bounce passes and no dunking and people try to gaslight you into thinking that you are watching good basketball.

That's the problem. Hip hop is more than what you hear on the radio

This isn't the 90s anymore. We can listen to anything we want without going to the record shop. We have Google, Spotify, and YouTube

ICECOLDBISHOP does what 21 does in a different way. He does it with more thought and conviction

Listen to his album. To appreciate it. Don't pick it apart. Then you'll see that there's more to this genre than the surface these days

Only thing that held Keef back was not having a better engineer to mix his shyt
There was absolutely nothing holding him back, dude was on top of the world around 2012 and had the entirety of genz on his dikk.

His music was just ass after Back From The Dead (don't argue with me) with the poorly mixed drugged out mumbling. He didn't care then and now that he can make a living playing GTA all day, he sure as fukk don't care now
