Im currently conflicted brehs/brehettes.

I recently graduated from college and just started my career this week.

According to my parents, other family members, and my best friends I should take a year off for myself and explore the world, party, and live life to the fullest. They feel that since i completed one of my long term goals that I shouldnt join the work force just yet.

I already got a job in my field and I like it so far...i do miss going out partying, clubbing, bar hopping and road trips etc at random with my friends but I just want to be able to move out and be on my own right now. I knew that the minute i started my career that my care free lifestyle was going to have to come to an end but im conflicted brehs...:to:

what should I do?

if u don't need the money like that and you sure u can get yourself where u need to be in the future.. fukk it take a year off. I wish i could do that:manny:

How u gonna do all that with no money?

my parents are simple, they told me "Marty please just finish your schooling, we got this"

But ive always been independent and stubborn and have always had a job throughout my school career.

Im pretty sure if i take a year off and want to do some traveling, they'll pay for it...its just that I want to start my career before its too late

its def true that you gotta enjoy your 20s

you must have done a lotta that shyt by now tho right? it all comes down to whether or not you can afford it at this point :yeshrug:

i will say that if you KNOW what you wanna do, and you have a chance to start a career in exactly what you want, thats a real good thing. you can always take vacations :heh:

I wish I could have taken a year off when I graduated but I didn't have the money. If you have money to do it, why not? The only problem would be having to redirect your focus back to your career once the year is up and I think that would be hard.

thats what im afraid of :lupe:

what if i enjoy it too much and dont want to join the work force?
What if i miss out on great opportunities?
but then on the flipside.... i have friends that are now married with kids or have kids and cant even do the things I can. I feel that im lucky right now and I should just say fukk it and continue having a ball.

This doesn't make sense. If this were the case than what was the point of you going to college right away? You might as well had enjoyed your youth then, then went to school.

Either way you can still vacation and party with a career. People do it all the time.
