my dream is to sit infront of a big old ass piano with the top up playin some smooth shyt, with a glass of brandy on the rocks sittin over the keys :wow: preferably wearing a tuxedo, or a hugh hefner robe and house slippers
what do I need to make this happen yall
Years of lessons and practice.
In the beginning, you'll be playing crappy tunes, but that's how you build up your chops. Then, you progress to play more difficult pieces. It will take years, but if you have the money for lessons, then go for it.

:mjlol:
Hold your own playing novice pieces and possibly intermediate pieces.
I'm not saying he could be a beast after one year, Cmon now :comeon:. I'm saying He would at least be able to play decent enough. I've had pianist with over 30 years in the game tell me this. It's all about how much time you put in.

He was playing 4 strings since 12. This is another "MJ got cut from his high school basketball team" exaggeration rumor. Don't give friends false hope, friend

Been playing the keys since I was 8. If you want to get good, you're gonna have to put to the work in. Fortunately I was luck to be young when I started because I didn't have any responsibilities. When you're older, alot of your time is spent working and not practicing. As long as you set aside a few hours per week and seek out a teacher to help you, you should be fine. Unfortunately for me, I don't have long fingers to glide across the keys, so I got good at playing fast tempos. Just remember that you're gonna have days when you can't seem to get anything right and your fingers don't respond the way you want them to. It's all about muscle memory. Once you get into the groove of playing regularly, than you wont wanna stop. Just learn to get through the rough times playing and you'll be fine. Persistence pays off. Hope that helps.
