Any flagship TV from a company that's known for high quality TVs is gonna have 3D on it. All 3 of my TVs are 3D TVs two active and one passive. Vizio is like any other cheaper brand. Its probably better for them to shed 3D because nobody cheap enough to buy a Vizio cares about having it.

the 3D feature took PIP's (Picture-in-Picture) spot on the TV. You can't find a tv with PIP anymore. The 3D feature is a nice to have but you probably will rarely use it especially since cable TV has abandoned it but its really on for blu-ray anyway. the glasses are not bad in small doses. I only use 3D when the big blu-ray movies are released like Avengers, Man of Steel, etc but only once, i just watch the regular non-3D blu-ray versions after that...
PIP got fazed out when we started changing channels with the cable box instead of the tv.

I could never figure out how to use that when i was a kid and we had those old school 90's 32 -36 inch tv's that weighed 1 million pounds but you thought your family was ballin for having one of those
My Samsung 3D Smart Tv has it but it doesn't work. There are no inputs that it will work with. You would think it would work with 2 HDMI inputs but it doesn't. So this thread made me research PIP on Samsungs and apparenty PIP only works when you have 2 tv tuners, one on each input, but since 2005 Samsung stop supplying TVs with 2 tuners so you have to buy another TV tuner for it to work:shaq2:

I think in the history of mankind nobody has figured out how to ever use PIP

My sony google TV has PIP but one tuner of course. Not like most of is use the tv tuners anyways cuz we mostly have cable boxes. However I can make the PIP work. I can watch tv thru HDMI and use the browser at the same time. I don't give a shyt about this feature at all to be honest tho.

shyt is wack. It won't catch on til it can be implemented without glasses. I have always said this. Even my cable provider provides a whopping one channel in 3D and that's ESPN.
ESPN 3D is either out or on its way out. Already been announced

I saw it still on my channel guide so I had to mention it. But u look like a damn fool if u copped a 3D TV just for one channel. And if ur not a gamer or someone that buys blu rays, there is absolutely no 3D content.

Avatar is the only 3D movie I enjoyed.

Other than that, :camby:

They basically threw 3D in the bushes for 4K.

I went to NAB Show in 2012 and there was 3D everywhere, active, passive, and glasses-free. But when I went last year, there were only a few 3DTVs because all the companies hopped on the 4K wave.
