AG, but that's personal preference for me, probably one of his best concept albums.

I think it's a really mature album lyrically but the production just wasn't on point on 4:44 to me. But im a beatmaker myself so i'm very critical about beats on albums. I didn't like that it was all 808s to be honest.
Nah fukk it. I think Kingdom Come might be even better than American Gangster if you compare the best songs from both albums to each other.

I'm 1 of the few people that liked Blueprint 2 better than The Black Album. Even though some songs on BP2 are really not good.

I think now I would say The Blueprint, Reasonable Doubt and 4:44 are top 3 Jay-Z albums to me. Can't forget about that Unplugged joint either!
American Gangster was in that top 3 but 4:44 gave it the boot for me.
The Black Album is still cool but there's only a handful of songs on there that I fukk with compared to 4:44 where most of the album I like

Honestly, gimmie the title track 4:44, Family Feud, Legacy, Marcy Me and The Story of O.J. over the Black Album. Forgot about Caught Their Eyes too!
Only tracks I really enjoy and listen to when I listen to the Black Album nowdays is Allure, Justify My Thug, PSA. Those are like my go-to's.
His Unplugged album doesn’t get enough love. Lol. It’s one of my faves.

And the 3 bolded songs are also my standouts from 4:44.

I never understood why rappers put hidden tracks on they albums though. It's just weird to me.

The Black Album and American Gangster are his last two great works. I would putt 4:44 right after them.

1.Reasonable Doubt
2. The Blueprint
3. The Black Album
4. American Gangster
5. 4:44

Yes ma'am!
His Unplugged album is 1 of those albums I always listen to whenever I'm traveling; definitely 1 of my favorites too:wow:
Yeah, those 3 songs were the 1st to stand out to me too when I 1st heard the album and they still are among my favorite on the album.

Yeah, when I 1st heard it I think I said it was like 3 outta 5 album or something like that.
But as I said in my 5th post in this thread, I thought it was "aight" when it dropped; but after revisiting it more recently, I actually like it more than I initially did at 1st.
