Is a black infrastructure realistic? Better yet, do we even WANT a black infrastructure?

Bring up African development to crowds of educated AAs and you might as well be talking about building colonies on on Saturn's moon Titan...:francis:.

I don't think it's as pie in the sky as folks might have made it seem a few decades ago, but it still has this invisible barrier around it subconsciously to AAs. I don't know if an African Union will help or hinder the notion.

It can be done in Black areas like Atlanta and Baldwin hills and spread from there because those areas already have the foundation laid.

We still need to take baby steps though before getting to that point.

I agree. I think with people moving their money to Black owned banks is a great start. Helping these banks like that will build them up & then we might be able to get loans from these banks for businesses & purchasing a house. Like you said it's baby steps

If so, that would take multiple generations. Mainly because it would first require a massive shift in our own mindset and how we feel about ourselves and each other.
