there was one girl who kept nagging me about missing the deadline to apply for aid because she was too busy making her college choice. and was btching at me like i could do anything for her. you cant leave the phone or give attitude either because it makes you look like a bad employee

a lot of ppl would bytch when i told them their requests are out of my control.

also i would set them up for callback appointments via ticketing and they would always bytch about why i cant just help them now. nikka that’s not how it works im not the financial aid counselor theres multiple ppl who have tickets awaiting in the queue wait your turn for the callback like they are. their time with other requesting callers have already been set up

the karens were the worst. a lot of ppl would call the line over and over expecting someone else to pick up so they could “skip the line” but it’s a prereq to set up the appointment to the counselor 1st

It's in the business sector for a global beauty brand.
The pay is much better and the role is actually hybrid (which I don't mind).

The one I'm doing now was only meant to be temporary until the job market improved and while I've been trying to endure it, it's just so bad.
The customer clientele are fukking awful too.

I've been called a c*nt, useless and even been lied on to my senior by a customer simply because I refused to sell her a product for less than the advertised price.

I worked at a call center as an IT contractor to rebuild the site and upgrade the infrastructure (network, workstations, servers, etc)...

Man....the thirst was crazy, mostly 80-90% Black/Puerto Rican women...w/kids. Just by being in IT I was in an elevated status as I wasn't on the phones but the managers and call leads relied on me for tech assistance (setting up accounts, server access, email, etc)...I was a contractor, I took breaks for as long as I wanted, didn't have to clock in, left whenever I wanted, it's petty but they were intrigued. The small amount of dudes there were automatically hating...

Anyway, I was helping one of the jawns for a tech issue, small convo, strictly business.

Then about 5 minutes later, a breh who I never seen before comes into my office on some Ron Isley shyt...
Simp: "Ayo, I just wanna let you know that me and "Jen" got something going on, so you know...'
Me: "We good, she just needed some help with her account'
Simp: "Cause you were smiling and talking and it looked like you looked a little too friendly"
Me: "Listen, there won't be any problems with this situation because there is no situation."

Janitor put me on game and he told me and a few homies smashed "Jen" on the job... Simp was just extra insecure smh...

I could have smashed any of them at will but these jawns talk and gossip, just not worth the damage to my career...

But in the summer, the sundresses had me like:

But the girls would need to be broken up from fighting and the managers would come out like parents pulling siblings off each other...

Craziest thing I saw was these two PR chicks get into it, one called her Baby Daddy who had warrants and was carrying the blicky but couldn't get into the building without a swipe card, Police came pretty much immediately and both girls got fired at the end of the day...

this here. so much fukkery for the 10 months I worked at a call center. the pay was shyt, the bosses were a$$holes, and the customers treated u like shyt. I DESPISED that job, but I was still in my mid 20's at the time with an infant baby, so I had to do it.

everyone was in there fukking, and since I worked a 3pm-12am shift, I'd hang with other folks on my shift sometimes after work cuz everyone else I knew was typically sleeping when we got off.

In my experiences: nursing homes and schools have been pretty fukked up, but I've never been down bad enough to work at a call center.

I had this bad Guatemalan joint.. i smashed a dyke.. she was thick as fucc under them Champion hoodies.. I smashed this big joint behind Quiznos on my lunch break.. I used my PTO to go to bytches apartments..

I was knocking down two girls and came to find out they was cousins

I ain’t smash this older Italian woman.. she was literally talking extremely nasty to me in the break room..

I had to make this one chick get an abortion..FUCC THAT

I was wildin out! I worked there from 2008 to 2015.. I was second level tech support so I only took certain calls

That was a hell of a run… now that I’m older and more mature I’m not proud of it one bit

@africngiant what is your current career/job? Are you still working this same job?

i’m doing accounting now it def helped me with my resume and appealing to the business world you can def finesse your way into a higher position with experience in the right industry. see if you can do the same for a banking company or find volunteer work on the side if u needed it. it would help to advance ur appeal on paper & u can embellish your responsibilities
