In the market for a new laptop. Best buy has the air on sale for $749

I like the air because it still has all of the ports, but that screen resolution :francis:

If I cop a Windows PC, I want the HP spectre x360

Thoughts?

Get an iPad Pro with keyboard attachment. Best mobile computing option on the market right now.
Yeah?

I got an Ipad Mini 4 and it's annoying me actually.

Apparently the Apple Store version of YouTube for these iPads it TERRIBLE (the app has a 2 star rating.) I mostly use it for reading and watching YouTube, Netflix sometimes...

I have an IPad Pro with keyboard attachment and I'm posting right now. Chrome on the Pro works identical to it on the PC with the exception of being able to download stuff. But honestly, 99% when I'm browsing I'm not downloading a damn thing. When i do need to download, I'll just use my Android phone.

YouTube app on IPad is straight. Split screen option works flawlessly.

True.

I'm not seeing it with the YouTube app though. And I'm not the only one having these problems. Like I said the rating for it and reviews show. You've never received the error where videos just aren't playing/loading at all? I've read that even having the auto-brightness feature strangely enough could be effecting it... and that being signed into the web version could mess with the app... Needless to say it's an annoyance in my experience.

Even for $750 I wouldn't touch it. Apple has basically neglected this machine for whatever reason and has pushed the 12in MacBook instead. No reason why the Air can't be bumped up in spec and still sell. The 12in MacBook seems pointless when it's running a mobile chip and you can get an iPad/keyboard combo. I dunno what Apple is thinking.

People want a laptop with ports (not just that bullshyt USB-C shyt) and the ability to bump up their RAM/SSD if they want to.

I think the Air can be a viable machine but it needs a refresh, including no more silver bezel/thinner bezel, Retina display, and at least a 500GB SSD as an entry level model because this 128GB SSD shyt isn't cutting it in 2017. I just got a 13in pro on sale and can't wait to find a deal on a SSD to swap. It's crazy that SSD prices simply aren't falling fast enough

USB C is not bullshyt. It's the plug that everyone should have been using a couple years ago. Much more versatile than any other port.
