As mentioned above, refurbished MBP 13" with 256GB SSD sell like $1150 on Apple's website. It's a lot more change but definitely worth it IMO. After having a Macbook Pro the last year, I'm never going back.

I'm fine with everyone shoulda been using it years ago but it's on the hardware manufacturers (not the consumer) to push that shyt as a standard instead of flooding the game with "regularl USB connectors. It's gonna take forever to move the game along because people are used to "regular" USB. If there were adequate replacements for existing device, I would have no problem with USB-C because I know everyone hates the guess work of blindly trying to insert a USB type B cable and not getting it right on the first try

I'll be the voice of dissent in here and say if you're looking for the portability of the Air, it's definitely still worth it. I got my girl a spec'd out 11" last year and she loves it. The display is a bit of a downer, but it's more than adequate. Thing is light as hell and the battery lasts forever.

Don't listen to anyone. Mac stays with good quality even though some others are catching up. An Air is cool for school or traveling if you don't want to use the pad options to work.

That screen is ass cheeks. Just get a used 2013+ Retina MacBook Pro bro. Screen is lit, ports galore, same thickness as a Air more less so it's just as portable, SSD. You should be able to find a clean one for around the same price.In the market for a new laptop. Best buy has the air on sale for $749
