Is "Aint No Ni**a" the WORST quality sounding song on a retail album?

Seems like Jay & Foxy recorded this song in a :flabbynsick: studio.

I'll be >>>> Ain't no nikka

"I'll be" was a top 40 hit, making it to number 7 on the charts :wow:

Classic Niccas
"Ain't No nikka" was the BIGGEST song from "Reasonable Doubt" as far as the mainstream.* Song is a Classic straight up.* Without that song, Jay is an underground rapper.* That song is one of the biggest reason "Reasonable Doubt" even went Gold. It also was a huge introduction to the mainstream for Foxy even though she was on "I shot Ya" remix this was the song that people really paid attention to her.* Video was dope two with the Biggie Cameo:Jay-Z feat. Foxy Brown - Ain't No nikka - YouTubeLOL @ that intro:"Jay What's happening, Where's Frank"LOL @ Jay waking up Biggie's groupie's.

:usure:

taking nothing away from this song, but are you forgetting that case's "touch me, tease me" was out at the same exact time and on the same soundtrack? that was clearly foxy's biggest feature.

:what: yall skipping aint no nikka?? that tracks funky as fukk :jawalrus:

sounds like they had the vinyl playing live while he was recording it. that crackling noise in the beat :ohlawd: rap today doesnt have that raw feeling anymore

but it definitely wasnt mixed at all, just recorded and put out there :yeshrug:
That's what I'm talking about, a lot of rap albums were like that back in the days. It sounds like mid 90s New York, these dudes want 90210 studio plastic shyt :childplease:. I kinda miss that dirty sound, wu-tang specialized on that shyt. Rza said his sampler or whatever broke and kept making a chopping sound and he sampled that and made a beat of it

so we let this nikka getaway with not knowing where the beginning sequence comes from and don't neg that nikka for that, man the coli lost it's swag juice

I know the sequence comes from Scarface but it was also about Big cause his alias is "Frank White" and if you watch the video, he clearly brought her to Big. The video was shot in Miami so of course there would be a Scarface reference. When she says where's Frank, it was homage to Scarface but she was talking about Big.

Some of Wu-Tang's early music didn't sound all that great either. But maybe that is what helped to make it classic.
