Bama was lucky to be in the champ game this past year, Oregon and Kansas State both fukked up their chance

y'all act like Bama is invincible, they really aren't, they lost to Texas A&M and Georgia should've had them too. I do give them credit for always showing up in big games though, Saban is a genius at preparing his team

I don't think Bama wins next year

I believe Alabama are a collective and not a person so therefore.... Are Alabama going to win the championship forever, not IS Alabama....

Just saying.

And no they wont.

Nah, you'd say are if he were to say "are the Crimson Tide" or something like that.

Like you wouldn't say, "Are New England going to win the SB" you'd say "Is New England going to win SB". You'd say "Are the Patriots going to win the SB"

You'd say who IS the best team, not who are the best team

Unless my education completely failed me

In a conversion saying 'is Alabama' doesn't sound correct to me and that's how I read it. Are Alabama sounds better.

You wouldn't say to someone you know 'is Alabama gonna win tonight?'

Yes you would. The Alabama team is a singular entity. like.. is "Warren" being serious right now?

TYRONE GA!
As usual, Bama's only "loseable" games this season are

TAM, LSU, and possibly Auburn. They should win every other game.

I would never say it as 'is Alabama going to win the championship' personally. I'd always opt for 'are Alabama going to win the championship'

ok you're either trolling or English is not your first language. One more time --

there are 2 ways of saying this --

1. IS New England the best team in the AFC (singular entity) or...

2. ARE the Patriots the best team in the AFC (plural)

obviously they're both asking the same question, but one is identifying the collective team as a unit, while the other uses the the plural form. Saying IS the Patriots is as incorrect as saying ARE New England.

You'd be wrong then breh.

The proper way(s) to ask the question(s) is:

Is Alabama going to win the National Championship? (singular)

Or..

Are the Crimson Tide going to win the National Championship? (plural)

:ld: when the team has a name that is singular like "Tide", this could get murky though.. just sayin :manny:

Either way, he's wrong about "are" Bama..
