Hell no...I feel like I've been working towards atleast fufilling the goals I set for myself as an artist and a creative...

But I will admit that I am happy that I got this wall street job, cause at 30 years of age I've already had it in the back of my mind that I may not succeed at being a musician and in fashion and need a realistic source of money. Which this will be.

Obviously we all need to work in order to live. Having hobbies that you love is definitely a positive way of fulfilling one's drive for accomplishment and happiness. IMO at least. I think more people need to have outlets that push their creative boundaries.

Advice I would also give would be to stay off Twitter and Facebook for a minute because when you're looking at your peers or friends posting stats about how great their lives are because they found their future husband/wife, New job promotion, lavish vacation, or whatever. You're gonna subconsciously compare your life to that person and that will leave you miserable

But I know I'm not that lucky. I'll end up a paraplegic or vegetable and still be alive and suffering.

thats why so many people are miserable, too busy in other people's shyt and worried about how others perceive them. go do something productive instead of postin your daily activites all over the internet. social media really irks me.

but as far as OP. i've been there, but gotta set goals everyday and work towards a more meaningful existence.

Traveling and vacations are two different things. Traveling is about exploration, danger, adventure, discovery, edification, perspective(as oppose to always looking within, mind&soul, which is limiting) etc. I've found real Hades while traveling - makes our "Hades" look like child's play. And If you think this is Hades you would really benefit from the perspective you get from traveling. What you described is a vacation yes (you're seeking comfort, safety etc.). The ethos of traveling is completely different.
