I haven't personally driven but I use the service pretty much 5 days a week to and from work and usually talk with my drivers about their experiences driving. There's a lot of money to be made but you have to be motivated. I've talked to people who set quotas for themselves, for example, one guy I met says he doesn't stop for the day until he's made $200 and he's also in school.

The superbowl will be hosted here next month and he's challenging himself to make $1,000 a day, it sounds ridiculous but that's the kind of spirit you gotta have when the amount of money you make is only limited to how much time you're willing to spend making it.

I know someone who hustles uber
What he did was lease a new Suburban
Car note and insurance comes out to like 1000 a month
He rents it out for 600 a week
So he pockets about 1400 a month without really doing anything

He said when he was driving it he could make 400 a day easy
We live by the airport so that helps
The trips he made were no less than 100

Haven't done it, but have had some very weird experiences using these services and while I appreciate the convenience and price savings, they need to get their shyt together.

I literally had someone on New Year's Eve say, "the directions say right, so right is... this way?" Then pointed. Like he didn't know his right from left.

I do Postmates, DoorDash and UberEats. I just graduated college and will not be starting my full time job until summer (corporate America for you man). Those help to keep my rent paid and put food on the table. Decent money but of course not as much as uber.

the best coast
i did door dash from about 2014 to 2015

good lil side hustle while it lasted

money dried up and im on to better things

you gotta get those independent contractor jobs early.. i was making 200-300 in a weekend night in downtown la

compared to uber you gotta drive all over the city, door dash keeps in you a specific area..

I tried it for a few weeks back in the spring, I didnt really have a ton of time to put in, so I stopped. I also have no desire to be driving around drunk a$$holes at 2 am, which is when a lot of drivers make the most money. I dont know, it just wasn't for me. I have talked to a lot of drivers while as a passenger, and they all basically said you can make as much as you want, but you just constantly have to be available.

Had a friend of mine who said he moved about 7.2k over three months.

Will be monitoring thread for additional insights/side hustles.
