Did it before, wouldn't do it again unless I bought a 5k car, just for uber. Like something big sedan, with leather, tint. I used to use my personal car, but my wife also drives it, and with Uber I like to keep no personal belonging in my car. Got tedious hoping in my car and seeing she left her shyt....

Anyway I would personally stop after $75 a night on app. Took me between 3-4 hours. Minus a gas top up, and basic wash $20 a night, which would be from Tips. Any tips I got I used next night for gas/wash/coffee.

My goal was $60+ night.

So yeah Id buy a 5k car, to add to my insurance like $50/mo. I already have 3 cars on it. So a 4th car wont hit hard. Typing this Im actually talking myself back into it.

$1800 month average at $60/night. Minus $50 for insurance... put up $250 month for expected Tax at end of year. Sell the car when mileage gets too high rinse and repeat, only major expenses are tires and oil changes. Which I can get done cheaply at Walmart for Uber vehicle.

Its 4am and Im high... rambling

Brother was doing it in SF damn near full time--Lyfting. He made good cash but you either drive during the prime times when they hike the rates for drivers or you ain't making shyt

My homeboy does the uber hustle, but not as a driver tho. He has some money on him, so he got one of those uber black sedan cars and he pays two drivers a set amount to split the days driving people back and forth from our's biggest airport, which he says is always busy with people lookin for an uber black (or whatever the fancier one is). The plan he told me some months back was to expand the number of cars / drivers by superbowl weekend to really cash in. He's pretty hands-on with it, he'll be at the airport in his own car coordinating with them. He basically quit his 9-5 to pursue a buncha side hustles like this one, to work for himself.

I got a lil money on me so i had considered doing similar (without quitting my day job tho) but i did some research and tbh i just wasn't comfortable with some of the nuances for setting something like that up. Getting the car(s), finding the drivers to work for you, maintenance expense on the car(s) + the risk of damages/accidents, organizing their schedules and being on them to make sure they on they shyt... that was an investment i didn't have the energy for.

I do Postmates, DoorDash and UberEats. I just graduated college and will not be starting my full time job until summer (corporate America for you man). Those help to keep my rent paid and put food on the table. Decent money but of course not as much as uber.

How is Postmates? I just signed up with them & am waiting for the prepaid card to come in the mail.
Wish I could do Uber and Lyft but had an accident 2 yrs ago and they said it has to be 3 yrs or more :stopitslime:

I do Lyft, didn't get approved for Uber because I got pulled over without having my license on me back in September. Other than that my driving record is flawless.

Lyft is good money on the side, I only do it for about 5-6 hours a week and pull in a good 130 dollars or around that. Helps pay a bill.

Before or after fee's? I'm about to start doing this shyt, looking to only work about 15 hours a week..Maybe a lil more if I ain't doing shyt on a weekend but yeah...I ain't tryna do shyt but use it to help with a bill or 2 myself..Figure if I can make about 150-200 extra a week not working too many hours a day or night in my case, the shyt'd be worth it.

I know someone who hustles uber
What he did was lease a new Suburban
Car note and insurance comes out to like 1000 a month
He rents it out for 600 a week
So he pockets about 1400 a month without really doing anything

He said when he was driving it he could make 400 a day easy
We live by the airport so that helps
The trips he made were no less than 100

Yeah that's what I want to do, does he find the renters personally? I was looking at Rent a Car to drive for Uber and Lyft - HyreCar

After. And if you do 15 hours at the right times and right area you'll definitely see 200. Easy.
