Serious question? Are you there yet or are you planning to get into what you really want to do?

One of my boys became a firefighter and he says if someone paid him a million dollars to retire from that line of work and go and do something else, there is no way he would do it because he enjoys it that much.

The good thing right now is I work for myself, but it is a struggle building a business up. I dont mind what I do, its not boring by any means. always some fukkery happening. (auto transport broker)

If I could start all over again, Id probably have done parmedic emt school/firefighter school right out of HS rather than college. You have great benefits, pay, retirement and time to run a business or do something else.

yes, i'm doing what i love to do. not completely at the scope, level and mastery i want but that will come with some time. that's sort of the deal with something like music (or at least the field i'm in). you're never considered the fact that you've mastered it, you're just always focused on improving. it doesn't matter where you are, just where you want to go and what you're doing to get yourself there...

if there's any moment where i have a dislike, it's in my own performance or how i perform, like if i think, want or desire to be better, not the fact that i'm doing what it is i love...

Honestly, I derive no sense of satisfaction or completion from work of any kind. I just see it as a way to get in, do my job, get out, and get that paycheck. Is that so wrong?

I can't do it which is odd because for most people the perception of my job is that its pretty cool (I say that humbly). I haven't enjoyed life enough to sit behind a desk with wealth in the bank.
