Is anyone else an ancient history junkie?

I’m an atheist but religious history interests me, especially when it comes to Christianity and Islam. It’s crazy how these religions formed, spread, and evolved to the point that they’re not practiced the same as in the beginning

What's crazy to me is when religious doctrine is changed. That process is fascinating. Here you have something that is supposedly divinely inspired etc...but then all of a sudden someone comes along and says "nah brehs from now on we're doing it like this."
